

Born on August 6, 1956, Carol devoted her life to her family, faith, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She previously lived in Cookeville with her late husband, Dean Carothers, and was a longtime member of Algood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where her faith provided strength and guidance throughout her life.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Carothers; her brothers, Eddie and Lynn Bell; and her son, Jason Booth.
She is survived by her son, Josh Booth and wife Julie; her daughter, Lisa Sharp; grandchildren Gage Booth and wife Raveyn, Caleb Booth, Logan Teasley, Brittany Carr and husband Ethan, and Zach Sharp; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Carol enjoyed crafting, spending time with friends, and riding in her convertible. She was known for her kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help others. Above all, she cherished her family and took great pride in watching it grow.
A celebration of life will be held on July 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or the American Cancer Society.
