Charles was a native of Chattanooga living in East Brainerd.
Charles worked in the hospitality and retail markets, in Chattanooga and Atlanta areas.
Charles was preceded in death by Wife, Linda Gale Brown {Carter}; Mother Doris Wilson; and Father, Fred Maryland Carter Sr.
Charles is survived by a sister, Beverly Lisenby {of Birmingham, Alabama}; 4 brothers, Fred Carter {of {Chickamauga, Georgia}, Mike Carter of {East Ridge, TN.}, Edwin Shelley and Boyd Lankford both of Chattanooga; an uncle, Edwin Major Zipp of Chattanooga and several Nieces and Nephews and other extended family.
A Graveside Service for Charles will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery, 1954 Greenwood Road, Chattanooga, with Pastor Bill Mason Officiating.
Interment will immediately follow.
