Charles A. Henry, Sr., 87, of Chattanooga, TN, died Sunday, January 27, 2013. A resident of the Chattanooga area most of his life, he attended the Tyner Church of Christ and was retired from TVA after 33 years of service as an Electrical Engineer. He was a veteran of W.W. II and Korea, serving in the U.S. Navy and was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lu Henry. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Lu Henry; two daughters, Dee Anna Brown, Rossville, GA and Jody Henry-Stephens, Harrison, TN; son, Charles A, “Bud” Henry, Jr., Greenback, TN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Martin-Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or to your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the East Brainerd Chapel with Minister John Cupp officiating. Inurnment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. Thursday at the East Brianerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 E. Brainerd Road.
