Chaz Jarvarous Payne

Chaz Jarvarous Payne, age 26, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 3, 2026. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chaz later made Nashville his home.

Chaz was a dedicated electrician and proud member of Local Union 429. He brought skill, determination, and a strong work ethic to everything he pursued. Outside of work, Chaz was known for his playful spirit, quick sense of humor, and energetic personality. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing life into any room.

Chaz believed in living life to the fullest. He found joy on the open road riding his motorcycle and cherished the time spent making memories with his family and friends.

Whether through his laughter, his playful nature, or simply being himself, Chaz had a way of leaving an impression on the people around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus Payne, Sr.; grandmother, Faye Tuders; grandfather, Leroy Payne; and brother, Brandon Tuders.

He is survived by his mother, Misty Tuders; grandmother, Georgia Wheeler; brothers, Marcus Payne, Jr. (Marcus Payne III and Marliah Payne), Austin Yarbrough, Lakino Covington (Lakino Townsend), and Dakota Green; beloved nieces, Z’ ryiah Garrett and Zhi’ Leya Tuders; and many extended family members, and dear friends.

Though his life was far too short, Chaz leaves behind countless memories, jokes, and moments that will be treasured forever.

His family and friends will carry his love, his humor, and his unforgettable spirit with them always.

May he ride free, rest peacefully, and never be forgotten.
