He was born on October 20, 1954, in Concord, NH to the late Lee Prentice and Nancy Ann (Gregware) Jackson.
He attended Oakwood Baptist church. Jack was an avid world traveler and outdoorsman who loved bicycling and all other outdoor sports. He especially enjoyed sports, particularly the Atlanta Braves.
Jack had a magnetic personality that drew others to him. He was a people person who never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of eight years, Mary Ann Jackson; son, Joseph “Joe” Jackson; daughter, Julianne (Casey) Crogan; two granddaughters, and Tessa and Cassidy Crogan; sister, Debbie Taft.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Rev. Ken Clark officiating.
