David William Perry

David William Perry, age 75, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Christmas Morning in Ooltewah, Tennessee. David, patriarch of the Perry Family, was a world traveler, ice cream aficionado, and avid hat collector. Though originally from London, England, David lived thirty years in Atlanta and eight in Henderson, Kentucky until a recent move to Tennessee. Before retiring, he was an entrepreneur who worked in international trade. Friends and family will most remember David for his sense of humor and selfless devotion to his family and loved ones. David was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend that one could ask for who always found the right words to say in times of need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; Four Sons Mark (Marion), Darren (Alison), Alan (Rachel), and Chris; and Five Grandchildren, George, Emily, Lucy, Jack, and JJ; Mother-in-law Frances Mathews; Sister Jennifer Thorne (Bern) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Dave Perry was a colleague and a friend. He was a great story teller with a wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to Sharon and the entire Perry family. I am saddened to hear of his passing and wish you comfort in the knowledge that he was loved and respected by many who will miss him greatly. Wishing you peace.
