

A graduate of Howard High School, class of 1974, Woody was of the Baptist faith. He retired from The Mueller Company after many, many years of service.
He had a passion for old cars, especially his pink Cadillac and his blue and gray Blazer.
Woody enjoyed grilling, sports, watching old westerns and listening to good music. He was also a longtime member of the Baron's Social Club.
Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Bone; grandparents, Willie Mae and Willie Horace Lidge; 2 uncles, Talmage Woods and Frederick Parker; aunt, Lillie Mae Woods; and cousin, Sabrina Woods.
Those Woody leaves to cherish his precious memories are his devoted mother, LeeJewel Woods; son, David Lebron (Shondra) Woods, Jr.; daughters, Yolanda Woods and Deshondra (Jabar) Sims; grandchildren, Tyeshia, Jada, Calvin, Dai Shun and Deven; sisters, Diane (James) Evans, Patricia Bramlett, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Gulledge; a loving union and companion of many years Monteen "Tina" Mathis; Monteen's children, Tawana M. (Johnny) Silvers and Freddy Mathis, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
A Visitation for Woody will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
