He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Hereford.
Survivors included his daughters, Decayla Amiya Hereford-Savage of Texas and Nyeindia Seymone Hereford of Florida; son, Micah Josiah Hereford; brother; sisters; other relatives and dear friends.
A Visitation for Derek will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, located at 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37405.
A Memorial service will immediately follow at the same venue at 2:00 pm.
