Donald Harris Spiegel, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025.
A dedicated scholar, Donald earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and went on to receive his law degree from Vanderbilt University. His lifelong love of knowledge was evident in the way he spent his days—reading, studying, and pursuing his passion for collecting antiques.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Reba Spiegel, and his stepdaughter, Melody Townson Dickson. He is survived by his loving wife, Treva Townson Spiegel; stepson Matt (Cassandra) Townson; and grandchildren Mark Matthews, Sterling (Harry) Kenning, Dianna (Thomas) Haskins, Danielle (Casey) Turman, and Chance Townson.
The family will honor Donald’s life with a private service at a later date.
