I have so many great memories with Doug and Debbie. Line dancing, birthday parties and so much more. You will be deeply missed, but I know how much you loved the Lord so I know you are in good hands and smiling down on us all. My prayers are with Debbie and the boys for comfort and strength. I wish I could be there to share in the memorial but I am unable to. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers always. My Love to each of you.

Mr. McDonald was my 4th grade teacher in 1976 I believe. He was my favorite, a wonderful teacher and I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to be his student. R.I.P you were loved and admired. Thanks for giving yourself to all to us at Bunker Hill Elementary.

Both my boys had Doug as a teacher and I enjoyed teaching with him at Mill Creek Intermediate. He was a great Christian guy!

I feel so blessed to have met Doug, and hopefully, contributed a small amount of happiness to him. I always watched some baseball with him, and listened to his stories of his life with teaching, and baseball. He was a great, kind man. He never complained and would always smile. He loved his family so much. I will miss you my friend.

Doug MacDonald was a good baseball manager. I played for his team in the 1980's called Overhead Sports. We won championships all three years when I had him as a manager. I remember on a number of occasions during games asking, "Do I bat this inning?" His response was, "I hope so." I found out about the news through Eddie Zombro's post. I remember his sons also. My condolences go out to his family.
