Evelyn Pauline Wood

Evelyn Pauline Wood rejoined her devoted husband in heaven on September 18, 2022. One of eight siblings, she lived an abundant life. Known for her generosity, quick wit and easy disposition, she put smiles on the face of all who met her. She loved flowers, and never passed up the opportunity to admire their beauty. Married to James Leroy Wood in 1943, they were together for 68 years.

She is survived by her remaining living sister, Joann Cumbie, her daughter, Janette and son, Joe. She was “Benny” to her two grandchildren, Michelle and Brighten, two great grandsons, Polo Blaine and Aidan and a great great grandson, Ranger. She spent her last 10 years in the loving care of Glen, God's faithful servant.

Before she left us she penned these words. “Most holy and merciful God, bless us as we enter into thy presence that our very being will praise thee….”

A memorial gathering will be held on October 15, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at 9323 Mountain Shadows Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37421.
