Evren Norma Christensen

I was born on September 23, 2026, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where my mom, Kassidy Celeste Christensen had moved almost two years ago. Kassidy is a dreamy traveler – brave enough to leave everything familiar and explore the world, drawn to Tennessee for its green mountains, its rivers, and its wild, beautiful nature. She found wonderful friends and family there who will always love me.

There is nothing in this world Kassidy loves more than her little girl. Everything she ever wanted in her entire life was me – and though we only had a moment together, she will carry me in her heart forever.

She named me Evren Norma after my great-great-grandmother, Norma Dalton, who was raised in Nine Mile Canyon, Utah – the place my mom always said she’d take me camping someday, under those canyon walls where the oldest family drawings in the country are carved into the stone. I may never walk those trails in this life, but I’ll meet her there in our dreams, and we’ll camp under those colorful canyon walls together.

I was loved by a family that stretches across the entire country.

My Papa Brandon Scott Christensen is the funniest person ever– cracking jokes even when it’s wildly inappropriate – but he always has an amazing shoulder to cry on. My Grandma Jennifer Lynne Gillum is a goofball who says funny things with a straight face and wonders why everyone’s laughing; she loves her family more than anything on earth. My Papa Jeff has the biggest heart – he’d drop anything to help his family. He even helped sew my first quilt, though he’d never touched a sewing machine before. My Grandma Liz is the sweetest person in the world, putting everyone before herself and loving everyone like they’re her own.

My maternal great-grandparents are Robert and Lorena Thornton; Lorena’s mother was Norma Dalton of Nine Mile Canyon. My paternal great-grandparents are Joyce Hall and Scott Christensen, who is married to Josie Christensen.

I am also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins, Brittany Christensen, with her children Alizea and Haze. Johnathan Pavelka with his children Sophia, Lilly, and Emberlee. Leah Pavelka with her children, Mariah, Anna Marie, Noah, and Isabella. Taylor Pavelka, Jaden Christensen, Graydon Gillum and Payton Dalton.

And my big sister Daisy – a blue heeler pup, Kassidy’s traveling partner and first daughter, who would’ve been my first friend in this world.

Mom – You gave me everything you had, and I felt every bit of it. You don’t have to be brave anymore. Just rest, know that I am safe, I am loved, and I am yours always.

A Visitation for Evren will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 am at Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery, 501 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
