

She was born February 11, 1940 in Chattanooga to the late Mary Ruth & George Stone, Jr.
She was retired from Kingwood Pharmacy after 16 years of service where she made many friendships in the community.
Gilda and her husband Frank enjoyed many years of camping and travel during their retirement years, their favorite place being Gulf Shores, AL.
She was a godly woman whose faith carried her throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Frank Norman Callahan; children, Dewayne Callahan of East Ridge, Guy (Kim) Callahan of Ringgold, Dee Dee (Rusty) Foster of Atlanta, Stacy (Kenny) Gordon of Harrison; loving sister, Phoebe (Charles) Isenberg of Knoxville; nine grandchildren, Brett (Natalie) Callahan, Jeremy (Jordan) Callahan, Josh Callahan, Rebecca Callahan, Tyler (Megan Tentinger) Ashby, Justin Ashby, Beth (Brian) Bowden, Jessi (Joshua) Gowan, and Raelee Gordon; great-grandchildren, Seth Callahan, Noah Callahan, Austin Callahan, Caleb Callahan, and Olivia Callahan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her focus in life was taking care of her beloved family. She was known for her kindness and generosity in helping those in need, never turning anyone away.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplain Greg Collins officiating.
Pallbearer will be Brett Callahan, Jeremy Callahan, Tyler Ashby, Justin Ashby, Seth Callahan, and Chris Walker.
