

Gloria Jean Collier, was born in Huntsville, Alabama to parents, Ida Mae Collier and Major Rice Jr. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026 surrounded by love. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, strength, and unforgettable warmth that will live on in all who knew her.
Gloria was truly full of life and brought light and laughter into every room she walked into. Her presence was vibrant, comforting, and full of energy. She had a beautiful way of lifting others up and making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She lived her life to the fullest, never allowing anything to define or limit her, and she faced life with courage, grace, and an unshakable spirit.
She had a deep love for laughter and a special gift for making others smile. Whether through her humor, her stories, or simply her presence, Gloria created moments that will never be forgotten. Her joy was contagious, and her heart was generous and kind.
Above all, Gloria cherished her family. She found her greatest happiness in the love she shared with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. The memories she created, the lessons she passed on, and the love she gave so freely will continue to guide and comfort her family for generations to come.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Robert Collier and Jessie Rice.
She is survived by her loving family, including children, Nakita Collier, Lashonda (Lefelo) Moss, and Cordelle Collier; grandchildren, Shakita Collier, Diandra (Andrew) Gentry, Tyrese Parker, Anevaeh Collier, Correon Collier, Daicion Collier, Cordai Collier, Lefelo Moss Jr., Cor’Ron Collier, Cordelle Collier Jr., and Tanner Pierce; great grandchildren, Skylar Collier-Palmer and Malachi Collier-Palmer; siblings, Carl (Kimberly) Collier, Walter Rice, Louise Rice, Taersa Rice, Gloria Rice, William Rice, Bobby Rice, Billy Ray Matthews, and Faye Rice; aunts, Linda Rice and Bertha Jo; uncle, Madison Collier; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held on April 1, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Greater Community Church of Chattanooga 1817 E 3rd Street where family and friends will gather to celebrate her beautiful life.

A Visitation for Gloria will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Greater Community Church of Chattanooga, 1817 E 3rd Street, Chattanooga, TN 37404, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her beautiful life.
The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
The Committal Service will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2116 Shepherd Rd, Chattanooga, 37421.
