

Gus Sanborn Currier III, 72, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. Born on April 15, 1953, he was a life-long resident of Chattanooga. Gus lived a life marked by faith, service, and devotion to family.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1974 to 1979, earning the rank of Sergeant (SP5). After his service, he was graduate of UTC. Gus was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed leading the Boy Scouts.
A dedicated patriot and political enthusiast, Gus was known for his strong convictions and his thoughtful conversations about the world around him. Above all, he was a devoted Christian whose faith guided every aspect of his life.
Gus was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Currier Jr. and Eloise Currier. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Tracy Currier; his son, Adam Currier; his daughter, Tabitha (Jeremy) Wallace; his cherished grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor Wallace; and his brother, Doug (Patty) Currier, sister, Maureen Currier and half-brother, Dennis Currier.
Gus’s warmth, integrity, and steadfast love for his family will always remembered. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the faith he so deeply shared.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
