Ida Mae Howard, age 93, of Chattanooga formerly a longtime resident of Signal Mountain, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her home. She was born October 17, 1920 in Crawford, Georgia to the late Roy Hamilton & Mattie Clyde Hardman.
She was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church.
Her sister, Rebecca Dell Downs, brothers, Charles Hamilton Hardman and John Goss Hardman, and her former husband, Dr. James M. Howard preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda (John) Wojcik of Roswell, Georgia; Jane Elizabeth Howard of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; Judith Ann Howard of Chattanooga; one sister Mary Alice Curtis of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Roy Hamilton (Mary Katherine) Hardman of Brevard, NC; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
