He was a United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam and was of the Catholic faith.
Jimmy was a liver transplant recipient and had been employed with the city of Chattanooga for fifteen years prior to being disabled due to his health issues.
Being an avid Harley Davidson Motorcyclist, he also was partnered in “Road Rash” and “Kick Stand Up” Magazines.
His brother, Denny “Chas” Cornett preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of four years, Lori J. Cornett; daughter, Misty (Jason) Hill; granddaughters, Nora and Bailey Hill; brother, Gerry Cornett all of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
