He is preceded in death by his parents, Forest L., Sr. and Bessie M. Hughes; brothers, Forest L. Hughes, Jr. and Austin F. Hughes both of Chattanooga.
Those left to hold his memories dear are his siblings, Mary Braswell of Nashville, Margaret (James) McClendon and Ethel Louvenia Gordon both of Chattanooga; foster brother, Michael Stevens of Inskter, Michigan; girlfriend, Louise Whitener who passed one day after Mr. Hughes.
Mr. Hughes will lie in state 9-1PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the chapel of the funeral home.
A graveside service will be 2PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the Highland Memorial Gardens.
