James was a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He worked at U.S. Steel Corporation in Gary Indiana for over 40 years. James loved sports, particularly loved to play basketball and softball. He loved to watch football. In his 40's he coached softball.
James is preceded in death by parents William and Stella Stempock
James is survived by his daughter Michelle Willis; son Michael Stempock; granddaughter Jasmine Willis; grandson Kylan Stempock.
Once he retired, he moved to Tennessee to be with his daughter and granddaughter. He loved to go out to eat and enjoyed riding his bike.
A visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, located at 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404, on January 5, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
