Jaxton “Jax” William Evan Whited, 17, of Chattanooga TN, left this earth on August 24, 2021 and joined Jesus for the greatest eternal adventure. He was born December 27, 2003 in Chattanooga. He attended church at Calvary Chapel Chattanooga and was a senior at East Hamilton High School.
Jax was full of energy and ideas. He loved making others laugh with his quick wit or smile with his amazing flips. He was fearless and always up for the next adventure. He loved weight lifting, riding dirtbikes, fast cars, cliff jumping, & diving. He was an incredibly talented flipper & natural snowboarder. Cracker Barrel, football and hunting were some of his favorite things he shared with his dad. As the oldest of 5, he cared for his siblings deeply and taught them to be brave and how to have fun. He was a responsible young man working with his Pop & at other jobs to earn money and reach his goals. He aspired to be a welder, like his dad, so that he could travel the world. He often served the community with his mom in many capacities--including through The MOMentum Network, a ministry inspired by his life. He loved the Lord and wanted his friends and family to know Jesus. He was looking forward to getting a tattoo in 4 months with Isaiah 41:10 inscribed: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Jax is survived by his mother Cara Ables Hicks & stepfather Montague Hicks of Chattanooga; his father Darrell Whited, of Bryant, Al; his siblings Eden, Baron, Rowan and Titus Hicks, all at home.
