He was born April 16, 1946, in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Elmer & Myrtle (Harris) Botts.
He retired from the Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company after 40 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and repairing anything that was or WAS NOT broken!
His brother, Bill Botts and sister, Jean Kanak preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Joan Botts; daughters, Crystal (Alan) Vineyard and Heather (Clay) Thompson both of Ringgold; 4 grandchildren, Macy Vineyard, Evan Vineyard, Brooklynn Thompson, and Reagan Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2026, from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Botts will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
