Joe Wendell Davis, 75, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was the son of the late John Wendell and Edith Elizabeth Higdon Davis. Joe graduated from Rossville High School and Bryan College. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Joe was a retired Nuclear Engineer with Bechtel Power Corporation and a former deputy with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Joe is survived by his wife Linda Marsh Davis, children, Cynthia Carpenter, Russell (Kelly) Davis, grandchildren, Natalie Davis and Luke Bloomquist. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Hall officiating with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
