

Keith Douglas Vandergriff, 68, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born October 19, 1956, in Hixson, Keith was a proud 4th-generation Journeyman Ironworker and lifelong member of Ironworkers Local Union 704. For over 20 years, he helped build America city by city, leaving behind a lasting legacy of skill, strength, and dedication.
Keith was as proud of his family as he was of his trade. He never missed a ballgame, graduation, or milestone, always showing up for the people he loved most. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, camping, horseback riding, raising pigeons, and cheering on his grandchildren. His presence, loyalty, and laughter will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his children, Charlie (Amber) Vandergriff, David (Amber) Vandergriff, Kelli (Chad) Burdine, and Halee (Noah) Blevins; his cherished grandchildren are Meade, Mia, Nate, and Emmie Vandergriff, Banks and Boston Burdine, Georgia, Travis, Crue, and Ace Blevins, and Daylee Vandergriff.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine Cloud and Charles Vandergriff; and his beloved son, Daniel Vandergriff (January 27, 2025). He now rejoices in being reunited with them.
A Visitation for Keith will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 am.
Keith’s legacy lives on in the steel he set, the family he loved, and the lives he touched.
