He was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Sanford; his mother Dora Sanford; father James Sanford Sr.; brothers J.B. Sanford and James Sanford, Jr.; sisters Ruth Lee Sanford and Christine Sanford; nieces Barbara Dean Doss and Shirley Jessie Garth; great nieces Shirley Nathaniel, Elisie Davis and Alicia Davis.
Survivors left to cherish his memories, A.J. ( Abony) Sanford, John Sanford, Joann Sanford, Wanda ( Edward) Young, Maurice Haynes, James Sanford, Willie Martin and host of great nieces and nephews.
