
She was born on August 18, 1956, in Andalusia, AL to the late Rudolph and Janette (Burke) Carroll.
Lydia was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Andalusia, AL. She was a member of the Andalusia High School class of 1974 where she was an outstanding drummer in the band. She also played numerous stringed instruments. She received her Bachelor of Education from Judson College and began a more than ten-year career in education in Lakeland area Florida. After which she became an automotive service advisor and retired from Stivers Subaru in Decatur, GA.
Lydia was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and the outdoors, especially Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
Survivors include her sister, Julie (Bill) Queen of Signal Mountain, TN; nieces, Samantha (Will) Thomas of Clarkesville, TN; Emily (Andrew) Hall of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Will (Eryn) Queen of Signal Mountain, TN; and five great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Andalusia, AL.
