Martha Josephine “Jo” Darby, 89, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Eloise Oliver Busby. Jo was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Jo loved teaching, jigsaw puzzles, and ceramics.
Jo was also preceded in death by her sons, George Derrick Darby, Jr., and Dale Dupree Darby.
She is survived by her daughter, Rieca (Daniel) Rousseau, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Hickory Valley Baptist Church with Pastor David Kemp officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service at the church.
Due to Covid-19 we request that mask be worn at all times at the church and that all Hamilton County and the CDC’s mandates be adhered to.
