She was born on November 6,1936 to the late John and Eula Beddingfield in Blanche, TN. Preceding her in death, was her husband of almost 61 years, James Floyd, six brothers and four sisters.
Those remaining to mourn her passing and remember the memories made with her is her son, Bill (Edie) Floyd of Chattanooga, TN, daughter, Lisa (Bob) Staples of Temple, GA, grandchildren, Amy Floyd and Andy Floyd and the newest, bright light in her life, a great-grandson, Clayton James.
Martha was a member of the Ooltewah Church of Christ. She was employed by Regions Bank for 10 years. She loved to sew and spend time with family and friends.
Services will be in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026, and a celebration of life will follow at 2 PM in the chapel with Mr. Frank Ford officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama.
