

Mary Ethel. Eikelberger, age 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was born December 8, 1922 in Quicksberg, Virginia to the late Charles E. and Elsie D. Litten.
Mrs. Eikelberger was a longtime member of Tyner United Methodist Church and the Tom Dye Sunday School Class. At Tyner she was also a member of the T.O.T.S. (Tireless Ones of Tyner Seniors) and the Flying Solos Singles Group.
She was a Dental Assistant for 20 years and retired as a Department Supervisor for London Fog after 10 years of service.
Her husband, Robert M. Eikelberger and daughter, Mary Ann Melton preceded her in death.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kandi M. (Rick) Hutton; grandson, Duane A. Melton; great-granddaughters, Tiffany N. Hutton and Amber V. Melton; son-in-law, Larry J. Melton all of Chattanooga; several brothers and sisters all of the Hagerstown, Maryland area; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Tyner United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Dover and the Rev. Jacob Reedy officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
