Mr. Knight was born and raised in Sylacauga, Alabama to Leonard and Edna Knight. He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church, Ed Flemings Fellowship Class, and retired from Kraft Foods as a Sales Representative.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carole J. Knight; children, Keith (Beverly) Knight, Karen (Eric) Allen and Kelly (Brandi) Knight; grandchildren, Jerry (Brandy) Knight, Tayler Knight, Madison Knight, Jessalyn Allen and Kristen Allen; great-grandchildren, Megan and Tanner Knight; and sister, Sondra (Rick) Mims of Marietta, GA.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be at Marble City Cemetery in Sylacauga, Alabama at 1 PM CST on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 with Chaplain John Adams officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214 or the charity of the choice.
Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist.
