Michael Copeland

Michael Copeland age 65 departed this life peacefully on January 1, 2024. Michael was born on June 30, 1958 to Hubert L. Copeland Sr.,and Willene Copeland, both deceased. After the passing of his parents, he was raised by a loving grandmother, Lorene Starling. Michael confessed Christ at a very early age and when he was baptized, he served the Sunday school class. Michael graduated from Kirkman Technical High School in 1978. He went on to further his education at McKenzie College and worked in banking for a few years before going into construction work as a brick mason while committing years of service as a member of the Labor Union. Michael was also a member of the very prestigious Masonic Masons and was inducted as one of the youngest members of his chapter.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Copeland. He leaves to cherish his memories a son Michael Copeland, one sister Winda Stinson(Willie), and two brothers, Hubert L. Copeland Jr.(Teresa), Teriance Copeland(Carol), a devoted niece Shemika Copeland, dedicated nephew, Corey Baxter and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A lie in state for Michael will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
