Dr. Steele & Family - I met & spoke with Myra a couple of times, and what stood out to me most was that she was such a genuinely nice person.
I am so sorry for your loss, but I hope you feel lucky to have had someone like that in your life.

I worked with Myra for many years. She was a compassionate, caring, knowledgeable nurse. She never skimped on patient care, always thorough. She was fun to work with and always seemed to have ideas on how to improve things. Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. She listened with undivided attention. She was full of energy for whatever her mission was. The words of the Bible were written for her, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter in to the joy of the Lord.”

Myra was always such a fun person to work with. She always had spunk and a go get it done attitude. Never ever would she sit down until the job was done. She was such a giver of herself, even during her last year she still put others first and even brought all of us at work a full meal with salad and desert! She will forever be missed at Erlanger East and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Myra was my first nurse manager starting out as a new nurse working on the Gyn/oncology floor at Erlanger. That was many years ago and our paths intermingled many times over the years working in women's health. She was a great mentor, friend and caring nurse that put joyful energy into whatever the task was at hand. My heart goes out to Dr Steele and their children. Myra will be greatly missed !!

Our sincere and deepest sympathies to the Steele family. Looking forward to Heaven and a New Earth when we will experience freedom from sickness and death. Praying for you all.

Until Then (Hymn)

"This weary world with all its toil and struggle
May take its toll of misery and strife;
The soul of man is like a waiting falcon;
When it's released, it's destined for the skies.

But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home."

What a beautiful tribute to Myra - the BEST homeroom chair. I had! The kids loved her parties because she loved them. My sincere sympathies to you, Mark, and Austin and Megan. She loved you and has left you with blessed memories. We are going to be out of town this weekend but will remember all of you in our thoughts and prayers. You are definitely one of my very favorite families! God's peace! Eunice and Bob Timm

Oh, how I can still hear and feel Myra's chuckle and her laugh! She constantly and consistently shared her compassion and empathy for caring for others with those around her. She was a wonderful role model, manager, and individual! Her memory will certainly live on in our hearts! Mark and kids, I am so sorry for your loss!

Myra was a great friend and was always my encourager while pursuing my professional career as well as my mentor personally. I cherish the times we spent together just going on walks and talking about life in general and our families, plus days spent working together. I miss her and my heart goes out to Dr. Steele, Megan, and Austin💜 I love you Myra and I will see you later. Your fight is over and I know you are safe in the arms of Jesus.
