She was born June 30, 1953 in Chattanooga to the late Raymond & Mary Francis O’Rear.
Norma attended First Baptist Church in Cleveland. She was a 1971 graduate of Tyner High School.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Carney Freeman, Jr.; her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Norma will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew her well. She was well known for her love of cooking. She loved sitting pool-side with her beloved Tank her English Bulldog. One of her favorite times with family was the holiday get-togethers.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd chapel with Rev. Karey Humphries officiating.
Interment will follow at Parkers Gap Cemetery.
