Its so unreal thats hes gone.  I saw him almost everyday. His last few days really were hard im just thankful that hes not hurting   i miss u every day bear. I promise to help mom like u always did. Ive got her and the babies

He was known by many names over his 70 years on earth. No matter what anyone knows him as, he was always still his humorous, kind, caring, gentle, helpful, easy going self. He loved people and animals alike. His presence, smile, laughter, and conversations are missed very much.

Robert aka Bobby worked with the street department for the City of East Ridge for 31 years.

He helped shape me into the woman i am today.  He raosed me as his own. Ome thing about him, when he loved he loved woth his whole heart. He has a gentle soul ,patient heart, amd strong will. He will forever be missed and never forgotten

You will be missed by so many Dinah loves her papaw I will never forget when you and her was playing that was one of the good days and the many talks  we had when I'd come in your room  the laugh  you had when you would joke around then you would just start laughing the love you had for everyone  gone but never forgotten

I always remember when he be at the door greeting people. In with a smile ripu will be missed

I met Bear through Angela! She and him started out as customers of mine then turned into friends! I got very close to Angela & always absolutely loved seeing Bear! He loved my girls just as if they were his own grandchildren. He always made sure to love on them. We got to watch him get baptized and see him smile. Bear is one of the good ones and he will be greatly missed!

I met Bear in 2019 through my lovely friend, Angela. I have made frequent visits with Angela and Bear over the years, and I began helping Angela with Bear’s hygiene care around 2 years ago. Bear truly loved his home with Angela and was overjoyed when Angela’s grandchildren were present, and Bear cared for Angela’s children and grandchildren as if they were his own. Bear also loved his cat, Sassy, with all his heart, and Sassy faithfully stayed by his side for 7 whole wonderful years. Bear was very accepting of my boyfriend and I and our beautiful daughter I gave birth to 6 months ago. Bear periodically called my phone to check on us, and we really appreciated him caring and thinking about us. Everyone who loved Bear is truly missing him right now, but we all know that he’s no longer suffering, and he is in Heaven looking down at us with the Angels. Bear wants us all to continue living a happy, fulfilling life! ❤️

We at the City of East Ridge knew Bobby as Shoe String. It was my pleasure to call him a friend of mine for more than 20 years.Shoe was a quite and gentile man,always a kind word and a smile.He will be sorely missed.Fly high my friend. We will meet again some day,until then watch over us down here. This world is going to hell in a hand basket and we're gonna need it. God bless you and your family during this trying time.

Two of my children consider themselves his step children; Kaitlyn and Christian loved him just as much. Their children were his step grandchildren, they called him pawpaw, he helped raise those children. They loved him as much as he did them. They are missing him so terribly.

His little calico cat he’d had for 7 years as a faithful little companion is missing him so very much

Robert, known to all of us as Bear, has been a dearest friend to me for over two decades. We have shared a home and our lives since 2007. He was such a good man with the craziest sense of humor. Always found the good in any situation. I will miss his smile and laughter, even fussing with me. I was his caregiver also and made sure he had everything he needed and wanted. God knows I tried my best. I love Bear and I will forever miss him so very much. Grief does not even express the depth of my emotions. I know he is in Heaven with Jesus, his mom and family that’s passed because he was a Christian and loved God with his entire being.
