

Robert was born in Chattanooga, Tn and remained a resident of various parts of Chattanooga, Tn his entire life. He was a Boy Scouts leader for 30 years and earned several awards. He retired from working for the street department for the City of East Ridge after 31 years in 2017. He was a Christian and truly loved the Lord with all his heart. He liked koala bears, collecting hot wheels, antique cars, talking on the CB radio, football, classic rock music, watching tv/movies, just getting the most joy he could out of life. But most of all he adored his calico cat of 7 years, “Sassy”.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert W. Alexander, Sr. And his mother Betty L. Alexander; sister Lenore Walker; and his first wife Jean Alexander.
He is survived by his ex-wife Henri Etta Alexander; his son Jesse Alexander and daughter Jillian Alexander. His faithful longtime companion Angela Shelton, step-daughter Kaitlyn Shelton, step-grandson Brayden Yother, step-granddaughter Paisley Yother, step-granddaughter Cheyanne Yother, and Step-son Christian Shelton and step-granddaughter Dinah Taylor.
He was a loving father and step-father, and step-pawpaw. He was an amazing friend. He was a kind man with a gentle soul and great sense of humor. This beloved man will be always loved and forever dearly missed.
Services will be held private.
