Robert C. Beck

Robert C. Beck, age 88 , of Chattanooga died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in a local hospital. He was the son of the late David and Janie Beck. Mr. Beck was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Western Union in 1984 as a supervisor for 37 years. He attended Bayside Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of Brainerd Golf Course. Survived by wife, Barbara Jean Beck of Chattanooga; son and daughter in law Mike and Dianne Gonzalez; grandsons, Cameron and Alex Gonzalez; many nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will gather Wednesday at 1 P.M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery for a graveside service with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Bayside Baptist Church Building Fund, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, Tennessee 37341. Uncle Coy was such a special person to me. He will be always remembered with a smile and a mumble! My prayers are with you Aunt Jean and I promise to continue to stop by every time I go to Chattanooga. Unc was always my favorite, but you already know that. I am so glad that I moved closer to ya'll and have been able to see ya'll as often as I have in the last 4 years. I love you with all my heart. Katie Wathen
