He was retired from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he worked as a Librarian.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Earl E. Coulter; and his mother, Thelma C. Coulter.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memories include his cousins, Gene Fields, Carol Seales and Tommy Fields and their progeny; other relatives and friends.
Neal lived his life his own way, but was always kind and thoughtful.
A Visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
Burial will immediately follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4016 Tennessee Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37409.
