

He was born August 19, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio. Rodney was a resident of Chattanooga for 40 years. He is also served in the U.S. Army from 1964 - 1968.
Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Brown; mother, Marilyn Brown; step-mom, Marlene Brown; brothers, Jack Brown, David Brown, and Greg Brown; sister, Judith A. Schorr; and great-grandson, Alexavier Turner.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Catherine T. Brown; sons, Joseph Brown, Rodney (Jerrie Ann) Brown Jr., and Kenneth (Teresa) Brown; daughter, Shelly Kendricks; brother, Donald (Grazie) Brown; sister, Rebecca Klepacz; grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Nora, Jessica, Jayda, Natasha, Antonio, and Jack; great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Derald, Hannah, Lyza, Nova, Alayna, and Riley.

A visitation for Rodney will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin -Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave with Pastor Grant Stanley officiating. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
