Friendships forged that made life rich were with the Tennessee Tech group of over 50 years and the East Ridge “Bunch”.
Ron graduated from East Ridge High School, First class of 1961. He was graduate of Tennessee Tech University. He was also a veteran and retired as Major of the Army Reserves. Ron was a part of CBL & Associates Properties for over 30 years as a Senior Vice President. He resumed his career with Fletcher Bright as Senior Vice President until the time of his death.
Ron loved his church, Covenant Presbyterian, and was honored to serve as a Deacon. The Volunteers of Medicine was also important as he served on their Board as well as the Board for the Hickory Valley Christian School.
Ron had a smile for every person he met . . . it would light up his entire face. He had a genuine heart that cared for all people. His happiest moments were with his family and friends. He loved to tell a story while also being a wonderful listener. He shared his love of the outdoors and of hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons and was never happier than when he welcomed the first granddaughter into the family. He loved the times on “the hill” with KK and dog, Burny, and truly saw the importance of the simple things in life and the joy they brought.
