Ruby Lee Jefferson, 78, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was born on January 29, 1943 to Henry and Martha Cannon.
Mrs. Ruby lee Jefferson loved each and every one of her children and grandchildren. Ruby was a Family women with many talents. Cooking was her number one talent. She was a warm, loving and forgiving person who gave much of herself and expected nothing in return.
She loved her family and showed it every single day of her life. Mrs. Ruby Lee Jefferson’s life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse Mark 11:25, NIV “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Charlie L. Jefferson, Jr.; her sister Mae Frances Cannon; her daughter Bonnie Ray Cannon; sons Andre Jefferson and Charlie L. Jefferson III; brother James Cannon.
Ruby leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories include: Addie Jackson, Charlene (Pete) Davis, Anthony ( Jackie Jones) Jackson, Tameka Jackson, Henry Cannon, Jr. (Bobbie) of Stone Mountain, GA, Betty ( Curtis) Beasley; twenty grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Funeral services for Ruby will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 30 at 1 pm with Pastor Jesse Parker officiating.
Interment to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 12-5 pm.

Miss Ruby was such a sweet lady. I hate that due to Covid I wasn’t able to visit her. She would cut up with me and laugh. She will be missed. I enjoyed being her case manager for several years.
