Sandra Kay Oakley, 63, daughter of Sam and Fannie Casteel, passed away Monday, June 19th to join her beloved late husband, William Reece Oakley, a combat veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Remember her with smiles and laughter or don’t remember her at all. Her passion and generosity live on in her son, Jason (Aileen) Meadows; daughters, Joy Hinson and Valerie (Jacky) Garner; sister, Shelby Jean Rogers; brothers, Garland (Ruby) Casteel, Lewis Casteel, Farrell (Meredith) Casteel, Norman Casteel and Steve (Kathy) Casteel; grandchildren Riley Mosier, Tyler Hinson, Aerin and Aoife Meadows, Hannah, Austin, and Lindsey Garner; and Earl (Pearl) her pet squirrels. A farewell service and internment will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 11:00 am at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tennessee Aquarium’s Butterfly Room.
