Sara retired from a supervisory position with First Tennessee Bank in 1990 after 30 years of employment with them. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Fred C. Holland, Sr. and Margaret Holland, and her brother, Fred C. Holland, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra Holland, Chattanooga; daughter, Jean (Bill) Dean, Henegar, Alabama; son Richard Michael (Robin) Phillips, Norfolk, Virginia; grandchildren, Johnny (Misty) Long, Jr., Ringgold; Holly (Jerry) Dupree, Rainsville, Alabama; Jennifer (James) Lindsey, Fort Payne, Alabama; Ashleigh (Randy) Petet, Ringgold; and great-grandchildren, Bobby Sims, Payton Dupree, Sarah Dupree, and Gracie Long.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia.
