

Therese was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. She was a graduate of Kearsley High School. Therese worked various jobs throughout her life, but her favorite by far was caring for children. She married the love of her life, Robert R. Fannin, August 24, 1959. Together, they built a family and life in Flint and spent the last of their nearly fifty-three years of marriage in Ringgold, Georgia.
Therese was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mamaw. She had a welcoming personality and always made people around her feel special and loved. She made friends everywhere she went and was loved by many.
She is the loving & devoted mother of Debbie Kaiser of Myrtle Point, Oregon; Vickie Lukacs (Frank) of Middleburg, Florida; Raymond Fannin (Dana) of Flushing, Michigan; and Kari Heyworth (Clint) of Cumming, Georgia. Therese is the adored Mamaw of eight grandchildren and their spouses as well as eight great grandchildren. She is also the special aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Therese was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert; her father, John Kotsko; mother and step-father, Fred and Velina Rosenquist; her sister, Agnes Pobocik, and her brothers, Stanley, John, Joseph, and Lawrence Kotsko.
Therese attended Grace Baptist Church. For the last decade, she could be found cheering on the Golden Eagles of Grace Baptist Academy. She was a faithful attender of sporting events and occasions of fine arts. She supported teachers and students alike. She was lovingly known as “Mamaw” by the Grace family. In lieu of flowers, we ask memorial contributions be made to the Grace Academy Fine Arts Department at 7815 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 2nd in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Thursday, July 1st and Friday, July 2nd from 12-2pm at the funeral home.
In following her wishes, we request all those in attendance wear bright colors. Therese was adamant her passing be a time of celebration as she knew her home is in Heaven.
