our prayers go out to the Family of the BAK's. we grew up with Tom, i have 6 brothers and we all went to Tucker School.also where carey, was a traffic guard for the school. we loved her and she cared for all of us kids, and watched out for us too.My husband Phil hung out with the bands in this area and they were all in a awe when Tom was the only guy around that got the first 12 string guitar. then later they hooked up again Tom and Phil in the Army.we always hung out with each other at our place off base.we always had good clean fun. like one time we knew of a couple who never saw or felt snow. so Tom, Phil, and I,thought it would be funny to roll a huge snow ball. and we rolled it into the house of the couple who never saw it and turned up the heat. and watched it melt.the wife didnt know what to do with it.well we were rolling on the floor and said to get a mop, finely we rolled it out the back door. it was the funnest thing we saw at the time. we will miss him dearly.we havent seen each other in years because we lost contact from the army. take care and god bless. It was an absolute pleasure to have known Tom. I had the privelage of working with Tom as a filter media Engineer at Wix for 7 years. I have thought and prayed for you and Tom in the last few years and am saddened by the loss. Tom was Tom...unlike any other, a dedicated Ahlstrom employee, a man who worked hard for his customers, a man who always talked about how he loved his family...and of course we talked about fly fishing. On behalf of Wix and myself please convey the deepest sympathy to the rest of the family.

Dear Audrey,
I am saddened to hear of Tom's passing. As you know I was priviledged to have been able to spend a year traveling and learning from Tom as he passed on his enormous knowledge of his customers and the Filtration industry in general. Much of my success is attributed to the time and patience he spent with me. Even though it has been four years since Tom called on his customer base they still ask about him on a regular basis. He was not just an account manager he was a friend to all of them.
Please convey my sympathies to Tom's children and grandchildren.
