Walter "Larry" Brown

He was born September 28, 1931 in Clifton, South Carolina to the late Walter T. & Garnet Sprinkle Brown.

His family moved to Asheville, North Caroline where he grew up and attended and graduated from Sand Hill School.

He was a graduate of Mars Hill College and Chattanooga State.

He was a United States Navy Veteran.

Mr. Brown was a retired Electrical Engineer and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

His brother, Roger Wade Brown and sisters, Wanda Lou Brown and Betty Glen Brown preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Modena Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Becca Lynn & Craig McClure.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Pastor Mark Flynn will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-6 p.m.

Interment and graveside services will be at Riverside Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Asheville, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
