Werner was always quick with a kind word and a smile. I worked with him at Wacker during the project phase and after we had everything up and running and we were constantly working on getting everything just right for our building, whether it was furniture or getting doors keyed correctly. Werner was always very patient and willing to help in any way possible.

I'll never forget one time when I was concerned about getting the right cabinetry in our building and making sure it was sturdy and Werner said, "Don't worry about it, Michael. If they (the company supplying the cabinets) don't give us what we want, we'll make them take it all out and put in what we want. We are the customer and we are always right." That's what I liked about him. He was always on the side of those who were his friends and would fight for you to get what you needed.

You will be sorely missed, Werner. Rest in peace, my friend.

Dear Mrs Katschke,
I know you and your daughter are understandably grieving and very sad with the loss of Werner. I was privileged to share an office with Werner during the construction phase of Poly 11 at Wacker.

Werner was such a kind and good-natured colleague and I enjoyed the discussions we had most every day. He always made a point of talking about his wife and daughter. I could tell how much he loved you both. I remember him wanting only the best for both of you and was wanting to find the perfect spot to make a home and find a community of individuals that would become your friends. I hope that those friends are there to support you now as you deal with your loss.

I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside of Werner and will remember the good times we had together. May God bless you and your daughter in the days to come.
