Wilbur Dean Johnson

He was born February 18, 1931 in Springfield, TN to the late Omer & Annie Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a 1949 graduate of Central High School.

Mr. Johnson was a longtime member of East Brainerd Church of Christ. He also attended Rossville Church of Christ where he served many years as an elder.

His brother, Omer Lasley Johnson, Jr. preceded him in death.

He was retired from Frost Cutlery after twenty years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Myrtis Ruth Johnson; son, Kent (Deana) Johnson of Cleveland, TN; daughters, Karen (Courtney) McInturff of McDonald, TN; Kimberly (Barry) Cantey of Signal Mtn., TN; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Johnson; grandchildren, Braden (Rachel) McInturff, Trevor (Nadine) McInturff, Sarah (Casey) Chelf, Cloie (Sam) Parfitt, Annie Johnson, and Mollie (Kaz) Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Kylie Rae Chelf, Kennedy Ruth Chelf, Hunter Moss Chelf, Hadley Ann Chelf, Hanna Marie McInturff, Katie Grace McInturff, Sadie June McInturff, and Dean Savage McInturff; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Minister Chris Barnett, Minister Bud Wooten, and Tommy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
