Yvette Me'Ling Barrett

She was born in Hendersonville, NC but spent most of her early life in Harlan, KY with her later years in Athens, TN. She lived a lot of life in the short time we were blessed to have her here on Earth with us. She was a kind woman that would do anything for anyone in need. She loved with all of her huge heart and she will be dearly missed.

Yvette was in love with the great outdoors, especially the beautiful Appalachian Mountains that she came from. Her favorite thing to do was take long drive through the mountains enjoying all the beauty and breathing in the fresh air. She loved art and music with a passion that we should all be envious of. Her favorite simple pleasure in life were video calls with her grandchildren and cinnamon gummy bears.

Yvette was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Raby, and her father, Gene Barrett.

Yvette is survived by her 2 sons and daughter - Will and Christina Gray; Matthew and Brittney Gray; Misty and Ryan Sloan as well as 12 grand children – Haleigh Burchelll, Addison Gray, Madilyn Gray, Tyler Gray, Delilah Gray, Brendon Gray, Bruce Gray, Amberleigh Gray, AbbyGail Harris, Aubrey Harris, AddyLee Anthony, and Kyla Sloan. She is also survived by 1 sister and 2 brothers – Sevena and Mark Gray; James and Amber Barrett; and Gene and Kacie Barrett and several nieces and nephews.
