

Roy Howard Farrar, Sr. age 57 passed away Thursday May 1, 2014 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was born May 21, 1956 in Springfield, VT to Gail J. and Virginia (Cole) Farrar. He attended schools in Cavendish and Chester graduating from Chester High School in 1974. He spent his childhood growing up in Cavendish and later moving to Londonderry where he lived for nearly 40 years Raising four children, Roy, Kenneth, Tuesday and Amanda Sue. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He also loved Nascar Racing and attending the races whenever possible. He had a great love for his 5 grandchildren which always put a twinkle in his eye whenever present or even mentioned. He had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up any given moment.
Roy is survived by his father Gail and his four children, Roy and is wife Lyndsey Farrar, Jr., Kenneth Farrar, Tuesday Douglss and Amanda Sue Farrar; Five grandchildren, Christina Douglass, Eva Cole Farrar, Evan, Katelynn and Jordyn Farrar; His five Brothers, Russell Moulton, Doug Moulton, James Farrar, Keith Farrar and David Farrar; his two sisters, Carolyn Moulton, and Sandra McCarthy. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Second Congregational Church of Londonderry. Officiating will be the Rev. Laurie Krooss. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service at 2:00 PM. Graveside committal services and interment will follow in the Cavendish Village Cemetery, Cavendish.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Roy Farrar Sr. Benefit Fund C/O One Credit Union, 380 River Street, Springfield, VT .
