Allen Gallo

He was born April 9, 1951 in Cleveland, and had lived in Newbury for 30 years.

Allen was a dedicated father, brother, and uncle. He was a member of the Chardon Eagles Aerie #2261, was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and played softball for over 30 years. In his younger years, Allen enjoyed racing his '68 Camaro at Thompson Raceway Park.

Allen worked in automobile sales for 15 years, most recently at Junction Auto in Chardon for six years. Previously, he was employed as a mechanic for Technicare in Solon for 10 years.

He is survived by his son Brett; sister Lori (Rodger) Gergacs, nieces Ashley and Hannah; and nephews Jimmy, Joey, Rodger, Sean, John, and Steven.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Thompson, and parents Joseph and Christine Gallo.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Rd. Chester Twp. The Rev. Thomas Sweany will officiate.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
