

Andrew James Kazmer, age 93, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 8, 1933, in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Cecelia (Vdofka) Kazmer. During his successful career, Andy worked as a management consultant, specializing in the mergers and acquisitions of small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses. Outside of his professional life, he had many passions. Andy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved traveling, playing cards and mahjong, and socializing with his many friends.
He is survived by his five children, Carole, Andrea, Andrew (Jim), David, and Joe; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Laura, Andrew, Julia, Joshua, Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Catherine; and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Delaney, Hadley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dawn Gildersleeve Kazmer, and his second wife, Dorrit Purdy Kazmer; his beloved sister, Ann Kazmer Horoho; and his six brothers, John, Stephen, Frank, Joseph, Anthony, and Paul Kazmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10th from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.
