Anne Marie Pellettiere

Loving wife of 53 years to the late John. Cherished and only child of the late John and Marietta Tomaro. Selfless and loving mother to Mary Beth, John, Susan Zimmerman (Joe), and Jacki (Bill Nagy) Pellettiere. Second mother to Ian MacKenzie. Devoted and cherished grandmother to John, Anne Marie and Matt MacKenzie, Bridget and Joey Zimmerman. Extended family of Gabriel Williford, Samantha Gacsy and Connor Nagy. Special sister-in-law to Tom and Barbara Horvath, “Sister-Cousin” to Pat Dalessio of Arizona, and dear relative and friend of too many to name.

Raised in a loving Italian household in Collinwood, Anne Marie attended Holy Redeemer School. She had wonderful stories to share with her children and grandchildren about what it was like growing up in this close-knit Italian neighborhood. Upon moving to Mayfield Heights, Anne Marie attended high school at Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart. After graduation, she was hired as a secretary at General Electric in Nela Park. Soon after, she met John Pellettiere, the love of her life.

Anne Marie’s faith was incredibly strong and shaped so much of who she was, kind, caring and loving to all who knew her. She made friends with everyone she encountered. John and Anne Marie were married at St. Margaret Mary in South Euclid, where they raised their family. As a young wife and mother, Anne Marie’s involvement in her parish and her children’s school led to lifelong friendships with a special group of ladies who named themselves “The Irregulars.” Their time together was always filled with love and much laughter. Upon the retirement of St. Margaret Mary’s school secretary, Anne Marie was offered the job. She loved being in the office. Starting her first year with a new principal, Sr. Jean Marie Dick, they quickly became friends and bonded over the grief of losing their mothers within months of each other. She developed close friendships with many of the Sisters of Notre Dame during her time at St. Margaret Mary. Moving to Chesterland in 1985, Anne Marie joined the Church of St. Anselm and became involved with many of its organizations. Her love of attending daily Mass blessed her with another special group of ladies that became some of her closest friends.

Anne Marie had a smile for everyone, instilling in her children that a smile didn’t cost you a thing, but could make someone else’s day. She gave everyone grace, reminding her children and grandchildren that you never knew what someone else might be going through and that being kind was always the right thing to do. She was selfless and humble, never wanting to be in the spotlight, but always ready to celebrate any accomplishment or occasion for her family.

Her grandchildren were her world. The love and pride she had for them was indescribable and she made sure they knew how much she loved them. From attending every sporting event, recital, and concert, to spending time chatting and laughing with them, her eyes lit up whenever she was with them.

Always a humble servant of God, Anne Marie fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Welcomed home by her loving husband, John, dear parents, and so many relatives and friends who have gone before her, Anne Marie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith and kindness.

Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Sunday 2 – 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, Monday, August 17, 2026, at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland. Interment All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
